We are all going to be affected one way or another with the pandemic COVID-19 coronavirus. For musicians/singers this means that recording sessions for next week are being put on hold - awaiting advice from government before either going ahead or being cancelled. Concert tours and engagements are also being cancelled or rescheduled, especially those that involve foreign travel. This is entirely to be expected but will hit the industry hard with artists entirely reliant for their income on those gigs and sessions. The bills still have to be paid…!

I know that such organisations as the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra are still performing live to closed concert halls via their digital concerts platform - and being a wealthy company they can afford to be generous and give access to those concerts for free. They have the infrastructure in place and the high profile to make that work for them. Maybe there will be a few ‘online’ events/gigs hastily organised by bands or individual artists and perhaps they can generate a few ticket sales that way? If so - do support them!! Maybe it’s something I will try given I will have time at home over the next few months! 🤔💡 Watch this space!
